Kunst - Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach - Diplom

I'm an international student studying at the HfG. This school is a joke and doesn't deserve the reputation it has. It doesn't deserve to be considered a university, the professors don't deserve the title of professors. It's like everybody there wants to work as little as possible. I'm studying communication design here, I'm in my 6th semester and I currently have no more knowledge about graphic design than when I first started. Everything I know, I taught myself via online tutorials. The "professors" never discuss design principles, there aren't any classes where everyone is working on the same project and trying to learn design fundamentals. They just let us work on our own projects. That's cool sometimes, but it doesn't help us learn and develop. And it's not reality, because if we want to work at a studio, we won't be doing whatever we want. No organization whatsoever. Theory classes are held in rooms where there aren't enough seats, so students are sitting on the floor. You have to chase down professors for them to upload your grade, I waited 3 semesters, to get a grade from the first semester uploaded. They don't even put the class schedule for the upcoming semester online until the first day of class. So we are unable to properly plan, notify our jobs, etc. This is a university?? I legitimately hate this school. Don't waste your time here, go to a better school, like HS Mainz or HS Darmstadt (if you're in the Rhein/Main area).
